The Beginning of the End.

The last week of high school. The last time we'll hang out in our classroom. The last time we'll defy the prefects. The last time skipping school to go to limau. The last time... we'll be classmates.

I know that the SPM is in less than a week, but I'm beginning to feel depressed. All the amazing memories over the past five years are emerging; Choral Speaking, the KL trip last year, the magazine crew... oh yes, they're making me feel emo. The fact that I'll be leaving for college within a month after the SPM ends isn't helping either.

Yesterday was the last Mr Oh class. I promised myself I wouldn't cry, but I did anyway. I'm seriously going to miss him. And that's only one class. I've got my final Renga class tomorrow and the day after that, the last day of school. Be prepared for the waterworks.

So yeah, I am seriously going to miss you guys. You're the best friends a girl like me could ever hope for.

Doctor Who

I'm just gonna be ranting about DW though many people I know haven't even heard of it :P

1. I wish Nine stayed longer; I miss him already :(
2. Can't wait to watch Series 2! Allons-y!
3. I'll be in the UK after Christmas so I CAN WATCH THE XMAS SPECIAL!! :O Though that will be with Eleven, so I'd have missed a lot.
4. The Empty Child creeped me out. Seriously.
5. Bananas are good. Always bring a banana to a party.
6. Slitheen are just fat, evil babies. With sharp claws.
7. Jack Harkness + mad weapon making skillz = AWESOME

Okay yeah, that's all for now :D

Holidays: Week 1

First on the holiday agenda:

KL TRIP

Balloon Fest in Pavillion

Coach. DROOL.

WHEE.

My sis. Yeah.

These are from the Toys R Us Lego Exhibit (mostly Star Wars btw)

Then, there was school. SCHOOL!!!! During the HOLIDAYS!!!!
ARGH.

Next: MOVIES!
I watched some over the past few days. More than I have over the past four months I think. o.O

I watched this one with the girls and Tristan after school on Thursday. Looking back, it wasn't that interesting. Just lots of screaming (Katherine Heigl), shooting (Ashton Kutcher) and killing (Ashton Kutcher again) with a couple of bad jokes thrown in. Meh.

65%
Just 'cause I watched it with friends.

STIGMATA

I'm not posting the movie poster here 'cause it's highly disturbing. The movie is one of those highly intellectual ones about the Catholic Church. I won't give out any spoilers but if you're gonna watch it, I suggest you do so in broad daylight with your whole family or all your friends. Seriously. It's kinda disturbing.

80%
'Cause, disturbing as it may be, it's really cool. And thought-provoking.

The Tooth Fairy. Watched it at home with family. It's quite funny, actually. Fun to watch with your family.

75%
'Cause it's by Disney and The Rock was hilarious as usual.

I got this movie in the first place for two reasons. One, because of Amy Adams. Two, it's set in Ireland; the second country on my list of Places I MUST Visit. Watched it with my mom.
Probably the best romantic comedy I've watched since The Bachelor. Scrap that, it even beats The Bachelor, Chris O'Donnell or not. Even though its plot is exceedingly similar to that of Sweet Home Alabama.

AND IT'S SCENERY IS TO DIE FOR.

Too bad Blogger does not support emoticons, or the whole page will be filled with droolies. DROOL.

85%
'Cause it made me feel good after watching it; which is a rare thing.

Movies I WANNA watch but probably won't be able to.

     Just to laugh at Jake.
       He's so UGLEH
                 XD

NEED NEW CAMERA!!!

Nikon Coolpix P6000. Oh yeah.

BRAZIL FTW

Misery Business

Do you sometimes feel as of the whole world is against you? As if everyone is scheming to bring about your downfall? Those you trust, those closest to you; especially them. Untruthful, honey-coated words that creep like tendrils until they are firmly rooted in your heart and all you see are the good aspects. Then WHAM! They stab you in the back. Take everything you have worked for, all the blood, sweat and tears, and just throw it in the gutter. Stepping over you when you have tripped. Laughing at your misdoings as if they have none. Taking what they please. And in the end, it is those self-proclaimed 'comrades' that you see to be enjoying the fruits of life; praise and honor. And there you stand, lurking in the shadows, nursing your wounds, glaring at those in the limelight. YOUR limelight. Friends; forget the meaning of that word which you know. How does one differentiate between the brother-in-arms and the cloaked assassin?

Then there are those that only see the extraordinary ones. The ones with God-given abilities that enable them to stand out of the crowd. The exceptional musician. The unprecedented genius. The future Nobel laureate. However, they fail to even glance at the average Joe or Jill. Those that work their asses off just to reach their personal potentials. Those who make mistakes, those who just cannot run fast enough, those who do things their way. Ordinary human nature is not good enough; one has to be perfect. How typically stereotype. What is the definition of perfect? Should we all strive to achieve an ideal to create a world of duplicates? Where everybody listens to the same type of music, wears the same type of clothes and drinks double espressos every morning? Where will all the love go? The spark that makes each of us who we are? God created each of us in his image, but He gave us the freedom to be who we want to be. Do all of us want to get 100% for all subjects? Do all of us want to live in this country for the rest of our lives? Do we all want to get married, have kids and live happily ever after? To every man his all, but what if his all was for all?

Consider this: If you only give support to the 2% that is exceptionally brilliant, what happens to the other 98% who will make the world what it is?

As Michel de Montaigne so beautifully put it:

There never were in the world two opinions alike, no more than two hairs or two grains; the most universal quality is diversity”

Tee Vee

Spent the day home today trying to study. That was an epic failure. Ended up watching tv. :D

Lee Dewyze - Hallelujah

Probably the best song I have heard on Idol this entire season! I was never a big fan of Hallelujah (not like my mom anyway) but this version was so moving that it almost brought me to tears. Although I have not been following Idol that much this year (not a wonder after last year's disappointment), this one performance makes up for it. Now, I just hope that the people of America don't do anything dumb AGAIN and vote him out just because.

Sue Sylvester - Vogue

Watched Glee today. Again. I'm telling you, the Madonna episode is probably the best one. The covers were fabulous and the hilarious one liners from Sue were especially mean today, especially when she likened Emma to "one of those pandas at the zoo that refuse to mate". The remake of Vogue however, stole the show. The lighting, the props, the hair, costumes and moves. One word: EPIC. Especially the "Will Schuester, I hate you." Jane Lynch is invaluable.

Other Stuffs

Rascal Flatts on CSI. SQUEE!

They keep playing the Prince of Persia trailer. From the looks of it, it's gonna fail. With a capital F.
Of course, this is coming from a fan of the games, so it's not a wonder. Just my humble opinion.
I'm still going to watch it though. So I can laugh at the failed-ness of the entire thing with my brother. Sorry Disney, I'm a humungous fan of Pirates but I can't see you pulling this one off. Gotta give you props for trying anyway.

Now this is a movie I will never EVER watch. Not even in broad daylight. Not even with my entire family. Not EVER.

Peace out.

Tuesday.

What happened to me? I was in such a mood to blog, but then I fell asleep. Now I feel so bleh. Listening to the kids next door run around and scream like maniacs has not done a thing to improve my mood. Anyway, I told myself I had to post SOMETHING today so here it goes (before the thunder cuts off the power supply).

One word: MysteryGuitarMan. He is probably the most amazing thing to grace Youtube. Mixing humor, mad music-making skills and a general aura of craziness, his videos are an inspiration and a pick-me-up if you're having a bad day. Kudos to Dylan for introducing him to me. :D

And to think he dropped out of med school to make videos full time. And somehow, he's getting paid! How awesome is that?

Gah, that's all i can think of writing now. Curse this black mood.

Oh yeah, after 6 years of trying to crack it and almost a year of excessive gaming, I finally completed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

First reasonable post

Wow, I am blogging for the first time. Reasonably! Anyhow, I was studying Chapter 10 of History for the exam tomorrow and started feeling bleargh-ish so here I am.

Hmm, where do I start?
Teacher's Day celebrations in school today. We got to see our beloved educators act like us! Running around, throwing water balloons at each other and shooting some hoops. They threw in a spot of unintentional bullying too (poor Iliyana - she got splashed so many times I lost count). Hilarious!

There's also the History paper tomorrow. Oh joy. Will the effects of the British colonization of Malaysia on our multiracial population and general healthcare or the number of rules in the Hammurabi Code of Law (there are 282 by the way - just could not resist) help us in life? I very much doubt that. We have to write THREE wondrous essays as well as answer four subjective questions. And when they say four, they fail to mention the SUB-questions a, b, c and etc.

The plus side is that aside the History and Physical Education(?!) papers, we have the rest of the week free. Whoopee!

I seriously fail at humor. And at blogging.

Alright, I guess I'd better get back to that hideously orange book lying open on my bed. History. Ugh.
